Words of the children

Children view the world much differently then as adults we see and feel.  My children write from the much wiser place they have always been.  The imagined could never be as frightening as their reality was.  My little lady talks too!

Just click on her picture and email me your thoughts.  Please put the title of the poem in the subject box so I can put them in the correct place.

Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don’t understand.
When so many need somebody we don’t give a helping hand.

Worth Forwarding!!! One of the best videos I have ever received! . . . the lyrics . . .

Forced to fly

Dreams can wake the child in terror felt
Fear no escape from the cord or the belt
Doors that will bar hence locks then renew
Turned to delete them, remember these few

Eaglet eye defies nature in places and name
See as equal wreak, terror felt as the same
Years upon season, each time more explain
Blots salt away reason, hoods carry this pain

Lost in deep forest, when those do appear
Evil eye lay watching their figure not clear
Forfeit the beauty the encounter could be
Monsters lay hidden behind every tree

Swift as the eagle to find it’s nest cliff
Forced with decision as clearing lay riff
To fall from this edge one surely will die
Thenceforth God’s loving, save thee and fly

eyes of the child

Through the eyes of the child you can’t disappoint
Feelings not formed for each sense you anoint
Treatment is seen as the roll of the dice
Knowing not shared by illiterate vice

Same condemn enemy defend equal the one
Named to protect thee as you then do your son
Appalled by the speech put forth on to many
Blind eye although seems to the actions, uncanny

Point of this origin will never appear
Linked to the torture a soul must endear
Never the purpose to harm or delight
Steals yet the goodness in equalities sight

Conflicting those years of initial unknown
Choice words of the mother, the sorrow to own
Not one to blame as when these lessons unfold
Purpose arrested when yearned story is told

Follow like children

New love is blooming and all will agree
Picture then painted for world to all see
Songs in their writing begin with one line
Today is the day that she now becomes mine

Dance we have seen many times in a day
No love is greater be it lifted this way
Fairies are busy as they promise this ball
Refreshing then flowers They darn favor wall

Angel with harps do prepare with new string
Cherubs give voice to fair song they will sing
Trumpets to polish then ram horns to ream
Found in these lost hearts now love will be seen

Such are the days when young hearts are renew
Found in the dance of old songs that are true
Awake in the moment that you started to sway
Let God bless the children who now go to play

Listen my children

Listen my children and what do you see
Open your eyes you hear a bumble bee
When not there before then how do you find
Where was he hiding with all of his kind

Listen my children and what do you feel
Bump on each elbow you now want to heal
Press finger tips light, cross arms to each side
Draw pain out your brain then let it down slide

Listen my children and what do you taste
Run in your life and leave nothing to waste
Sweet try of lolly once delight in this day
Just make way the core as you go out to play

Listen my children and what do you smell
Over the river and down in the dell
Sweet of the grasses or tell tale of skunk
Firm of the soil or dead that have sunk

Listen my children and what did you hear
False evils as real do then form the fear
Hear with your eyes, heal with your mind
Taste what you smell, then world will be kind

Listen to the feelings

He sends us a message every day if only we took time to listen
Not with ears we’ll hear his voice that’s how sometimes we miss’em
Through a hug that some can feel when love is really given
Answers the palm that this sense is known while my hand is shaken

Custom that is nearly dead for watch and you will see
Business ones of great intent will always send it free
From that sense they size each other to find a weakness being
One does not need to have a folder to feel what he is seeing

Friends that have no thing to hide will hug you even harder
Those who have some unsure meaning seem their hug a barter
Fake the hug from all those ones who fear their own demise
Don’t be fooled for what you think you see within their eyes

That they love let there be no doubt for when the spirit meets
This is one to spend some time when it’s felt within your greet
Sense the change when days have passed, no longer do you feel
Message sent that this time be stamped, your lesson for are real

Linger then for given days until mind’s eye has full recovered
List your thoughts in journal bold of things you have discovered
Share your words with those who come quickly from behind
Write new words of wisdom’s way, them felt who now are blind

Sudden sadness around me

A sudden sadness came over me last night as I lay to sleep
It did not come from inside my mind not feeling that I keep
Yet what has still remained today is still a fleeting glimpse
Of something that does still abound are thoughts of sadder imps

Softer was the cricket call that I was sure where gone last night
Lost I thought was anole named George, that had given me a fright
Somewhere hidden out of view I feared perhaps that he’d been eaten
Thin he looked the other day looks like he has taken quite the beaten

Perhaps his mate does blame him so for now off spring does not hatch
Careless planning on her part when time and conditions can not match
I still have not figured out how to find said soon enough to save them
From drying in the sand of time where I could find for young safe haven

Two days I looked and searched the tank, did all but empty it clean
Today I told myself that I would strip this home of everything, I mean
Yet much to my surprise it seems this master has somehow now returned
From where he hid I can not say for his presence last night I yearned

I feared the worse which was not a pretty sight to think about it all
Even that just perhaps he was hiding in little hut stuck upon the wall
Saddest thought of course was that as thin as he had become with need
Perhaps she blamed him much to much and commenced to make him feed

She would not be the first of to blame a mate for all her woes of child
To blame him for her fruitless nest when expects fair union be they wild
See then now this sadness lifts as I looked this morn to ease my trouble mind
There to witness my curious George now looking up to me, surely I did find

Lily means pure

Inspires the story, my age about six
Name tossed in a hat for to be picked
To crown virgin Mary sometime in May
A special occasion my mother did say

Sweet were these flower of lily so fair
Perfume each pew, smell filled the air
Aroma so thick I remember it still
Trusting not ladder then set on the sill

Priest made a smile as he then took my hand
With crown in the other I had not a plan
Small were the roses that encircled this vine
To placed on the head of our sweet lady Devine

Small child was I clothed in fair white dress
Atop this long ladder scared I now do confess
Angelic the sight saintly old women did see
My eyes saw each pervert now looking at me

the little one inside of me

I must say that no matter what picture I chose tonight each one invoked a bitter sweet memory.
So many beautiful moments of childhood marred by our hand me down lessons.
